Neils, who comes from Maryland, on the eastern coast of America, moved to Bangkok 20 years ago. He says when he first visited Bangkok in his 20s; he literally fell for the city. Before he visited, he had only read a couple of guide books about Thailand. But after experiencing the country in person, he found the culture to be so different and novel. Although it took some time for him to get used to the life in Bangkok, he now looks like a native. Working as an English teacher at a primary school in Bangkok, he developed a strong belief in himself that he can do anything. He still teaches students in Bangkok and feels very happy about what he is doing.
