Emily has just started her first year at MIT. She hasn¡¯t declared her major yet, however, she believes she will probably choose Mechanical Engineering. She says that life at MIT is hugely different compared to her life back in her homeland of Bermuda. Whereas in Bermuda people know each other; saying hello to everyone they meet on the street, while also enjoying the tropical weather by swimming peacefully and surfing, her new life at MIT consists of challenges and constant excitement every other day.
